Dr. Doering completed his dental degree at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany in 2011. He then worked as a clinician scientist in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery in Erlangen while attending medical school. He received a research scholarship which brought him to the Department of Periodontology at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto in October 2012. After coordinating a clinical research study and working as a postdoctoral fellow in the prestigious Matrix-Dynamics Group, he was subsequently accepted into the specialty program of Periodontology at the University of Toronto and graduated in 2017. He is proficient in all aspects of periodontal therapy. He and his wife live in Hanover and are enjoying their time with their son Oliver who was born in July 2018.
