Dr. D'Costa is a board-certified licensed specialist in Periodontics and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC).
Dr. D'Costa graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo. After working as a Computer Engineer for years, he went on to pursue a career in dentistry. His dental education has included training at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University and at the Academisch Centrum Tandheelkunde Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. Dr. D'Costa obtained both his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and specialty Master of Science (MSc) degree in Periodontology from the University of Toronto.
His past research with the Matrix-Dynamics Group, was centered on the systemic effects of periodontal disease, specifically focused on the association between periodontitis and cardiovascular disease, which he has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at dental conferences.
Dr. D'Costa has extensive surgical experience in all aspects of periodontal therapy. He currently practices in both Regina and at clinics throughout the Greater Toronto Area and the Kitchener-Waterloo region. He and his fiancée live in Cambridge, Ontario and they enjoy travelling, hiking, kayaking, skating and spending time with family and friends.
